The Billion BiPAC 7700NX R5 is a Wireless-N ADSL2+ router built for South Africa’s copper ADSL lines — plug it into your DSL socket and it handles the modem, router, firewall and Wi-Fi access point in one box. It also takes a 3G/4G USB dongle, so it can run on mobile data where there’s no ADSL line.

It’s a straightforward SOHO router from Billion’s entry-level 7700 series: 2.4GHz Wireless-N Wi-Fi up to 300Mbps, four 10/100 LAN ports for wired devices, and the usual NAT/SPI firewall, QoS and DDNS features you’d expect from a router of this generation.

🔌 ADSL2+ only — this is a copper ADSL router, not a fibre or VDSL router. Openserve is phasing out copper in many areas, so check your line type before buying — or use it with a 3G/4G dongle instead.
🔌 Older Wireless-N spec — 2.4GHz only, no dual-band, AC or AX Wi-Fi
🔌 Plug in a compatible 3G/4G USB dongle to use it as a mobile-data router — handy where there’s no copper line. Dongle not included; check compatibility with your dongle model before buying.
🔌 Can be configured as a Wi-Fi access point or 4-port Ethernet switch behind another router, if you don’t need the ADSL modem function
